Hugh has taught watercolour painting workshops throughout the UK; in the USA, Istanbul, and for Cunard aboard the QE2. In the 1990’s he ran his highly successful workshops at Bury Art Museum and was filmed in action there by Granada TV 30 years ago!
He has taught both adults and children the techniques of watercolour painting, and his work in schools was described as ‘Remarkable’ in an article by the Times Educational Supplement. Kate Middleton and Hugh Templeton were interviewed recently in Sir James Ratcliffe’s ‘Forgotten 40’ magazine about their work promoting creativity in Primary Schools. During his career spanning more than 40 years Hugh has never lost his enthusiasm and passion for sharing his teaching skills.
