Timetables have changed on the Abbey Line (between Watford Junction – St Albans Abbey) and at Bushey and Harrow & Wealdstone.

The Abbey Line (Watford Junction – St Albans Abbey)
- We’ve introduced a new Sunday timetable with improved connections at Watford Junction.
Changes to calls at Bushey and Harrow & Wealdstone
Bushey
- Based on customer feedback, train times at Bushey station have changed.
- We introduced two additional trains to London Euston at 07:04 and 07:34 to provide more seats at peak times.
Harrow & Wealdstone
- Train times at Harrow & Wealdstone station also changed.
- The 07.37 train to London Euston no longer calls at this station.
Removal of First Class
In response to changing customer demand we removed First Class from our services from Sunday 21 May 2023.
Frequently asked questions
First Class use has been in decline for some time. By making the whole of our trains available to everyone we are able to provide additional seats for our Standard Class passengers. The change means an extra 4.7 million seats will be available for everybody on London Northwestern Railway every year at a time when we continue to welcome more customers back to the railway.
The quickest and easiest way to claim a refund is by visiting a London Northwestern Railway station ticket office, where staff will be able to exchange your First Class season ticket for a Standard Class season ticket and refund you the difference. If you are not able to visit a ticket office, contact our Customer Relations team.
While we will be removing First Class signage from the inside and outside of our fleet, we do not plan to make any major alterations to the internal layout of our fleet. In coming years some of our current trains will be leaving our fleet as they are replaced with our new Class 730 trains.
