What do we do exactly?

One of Visit Norway’s marketing and public relations activities is to provide assistance regarding ideas for stories from Norway to relevant international media and influencers.

Our activities range from providing editorial content and images and videos, supporting media visits, organizing a limited number of press and influencer trips, and providing local contacts in collaboration with the local destinations in Norway.

How can I join a press trip?

Visit Norway invites and supports selected media to a limited number of press or influencer trips every year and may cover some expenses such as airfares.

Preliminary enquiries about professional assistance can be sent by filling out our media form at least four weeks in advance.

All enquiries regarding media visits will be assessed in relation to Visit Norway’s overall PR and marketing strategy, budget, and availability.

Do I need an assignment?

Yes, we prefer that you have a commissioned story angle to participate in any of the press trips arranged by Visit Norway. The PR manager will liaise with the publication to ensure that target audiences and planned stories match our overall strategy.

Influencers and bloggers

To be considered for support, influencers and bloggers must have a strong following and engagement and be in alignment with our target audiences and overall strategy. Read more about Visit Norway on social media.

Preliminary enquiries for collaborations can be sent by filling out our media form.

Itinerary

Unless stated otherwise, press trips and influencer trips arranged by and/or supported by Visit Norway start and stop at one of the airports in the country of origin offering direct flights to Norway.

Participants are expected to make their own way to the departure point and back again.

Accommodation, meals, and activities during the press trip are covered as detailed in the tailored itinerary for each visit and agreed upon in advance with the contact person at Visit Norway and the local destination(s) involved.

Travel insurance

All participants are responsible for their own travel insurance. You must also have your own appropriate winter sports cover (or other required equipment) if necessary.
