Paddle Steamer ‘Skibladner’

Welcome to the world’s oldest paddle steamer

Timetabled sailings open to the public on June 25 2024.

Skibladner is the world’s oldest paddle steamer still in regular service and one of Norway’s best-loved attractions, 167 years after her launching in August 1856. She is still powered by her steam engines, and this charming vessel offers an authentic experience of steamship travel in the 1800s, as well as an excellent restaurant.

We run a daily service between the end of June and mid August (except Mondays) between the towns on Lake Mjøsa, two hours north of Oslo in Norway, calling at scenic harbours along the route.
