Participate in a two-week creativity experience in the Gambia!

Do you want to unlock your creativity and help others? We are seeking passionate students and educators who aim to make a positive change in the world!

It’s Giving December, and we are granting two Educatius students, accompanied by one teacher and one local coordinator, the amazing opportunity to participate in a two-week creativity internship in the Gambia mid-June 2024.

With Aiducatius Internship, you will engage with the students and teachers in St. Martin’s School in Kartong, via creative and artistic activities. You also get to visit artisans, learn local creative techniques, and immerse in a vibrant and welcoming culture.

Who can apply and how?
  • Be available for the 2-week internship mid-June 2024.

  • Be a student, alumni, teacher och local coordinator with Educatius or one of our strategic partners.

  • Be aged 18 – 22 at the time of the internship if you are a student.

  • Be ready to live in a rustic environment.

  • Be ready to share your creative skills with students in the Gambia in a classroom setting and learn from them as well.

  • Submit a proposal and convince us why you should be chosen, what kinds of activities you would prepare, and what if any similar experience you might have.

  • Share on social media why you should be chosen #aiducatiusinternship

  • Apply between 1 – 31 December 2023.

  • The chosen winners will be contacted and announced on social media in February 2024.

About the Gambia

The Gambia, in West Africa, has a population of 1.5 million comprising of diverse ethnic groups speaking various local languages, as well as English, French, and Arabic. The country is known as ”the Smiling Coast of Africa”.

Today, The Gambia is witnessing a growing interest in and support for young artists, fueled by tourism and international development aid.
